At this year’s Equip Expo in Louisville, (October 15-18), attended by a record 28,500 landscapers, dealers and other green industry professionals, the KRESS booth was one that drew a high level of interest.
KRESS entered the North American market just 2 years ago and has already made a substantial impact on the professional market with their commercial battery powered equipment, many of which have unique, unmatched features.
Don Gao, Founder and CEO of Positec Tool Corporation, which is the parent company of KRESS, attended the event and met with various key figures in the industry including media, dealers and end-users to discuss the KRESS technology, KRESS dealer network and the end-user experience.
KRESS’ indoor and outdoor booths included numerous opportunities for attendees to test out the products and truly understand the benefits of switching to battery. The outdoor booth included a maze competition where attendees could test out the real power of KRESS’ backpack blower. The competitor with the fastest time – 16 seconds – won a full backpack blower bundle.
As an incentive to test out the KRESS products, attendees were offered The Tool Trial Passport. The Passport encouraged attendees to demo the KRESS equipment in designated stations throughout the outdoor booth. Anyone who tested five products or more won a KRESS t-shirt.
Attendees that signed up for the industry-disrupting KRESS 10-day free trial were automatically entered to win one of four prizes in the KRESS Power Up Giveaway. Winners were contacted at the show and the four prizes included a KRESS Commercial trimmer bundle with charge on-site kit, KRESS Commercial top-handle chain saw bundle with all day power kit, KRESS Commercial backpack blower bundle with full day power kit and a grand prize of $20,000 of KRESS Commercial equipment!
KRESS sponsored the Opening General Session keynote, where Kevin O’Connor, host of This Old House spoke about honoring the past while embracing the future of the industry. Justin White, the CEO of K&D Landscaping in California, introduced O’Connor, sharing the history of his company and how KRESS has helped future-proof his business – from the revolutionary technology to monetary savings and better end-user experiences. White also announced K&D’s new partnership with KRESS, committing to transition all his crews to KRESS in 2025.
The 2024 Equip Expo was an overwhelming success for KRESS and will prove to be a success for the hundreds of attendees that decided, while at the show, to switch some (and in some cases, all) of their current gas-powered products to KRESS commercial battery powered commercial products.
