After an exhaustive, nationwide search process, the American Rental Association (ARA) is strategically positioning itself for the future needs of its members and its workforce by beginning a headquarters transition to Dallas. This transition will be a gradual process, taking years to fully complete, ensuring the least disruption for current staff.
“Moline, Ill., has served the association so well since it began in 1955. We are proud of the legacy the staff in Moline has created and we’re looking forward to creating a place in Texas where staff and members can gather together for decades to come. We know that is how the best work of the association is done — in conjunction with members and each other, in a dynamic work space,” says Robert H. Pedersen, ARA board president and president/CEO of A Tool Shed, Inc., Santa Cruz, Calif.
The association will begin filling any staff vacancies with professionals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. When a certain threshold of staff volume is concentrated in DFW, the association will lease space there.
The current ARA headquarters building in Moline will be listed for sale. The association will have dedicated office space for staff in Moline as long as it is deemed necessary.
